I'm Here!

After a very long day (or was it 2 days?) I made it to Florence around 2:00 pm local time, 8:00 am EST.

I'm living in an apartment built around 1200. It's got a lot of very steep stairs and levels. My room is huge but my bed is very very tiny.



I went to the grocery store and got some necessities, met my two roommates (thank goodness one of them speaks English!), and walked around to say hi to some of my favorite places (David in the Piazza della Signoria, Orsanmichele, the Duomo/Giotto's tower/baptistry, Santa Croce, the Arno River, etc...)

Then I slept for 12 hours.
